My first experience with YFC occurred when my high school economics teacher, Mr. Owen Yamamura, asked me to be part of a campus group. He took me under his wing and mentored me. God gave me a passion for my classmates through that experience. 20 years later, I love working with student leaders and empowering them to evangelize their school for Jesus.
Read MoreI was introduced to YFC Hawaii as a freshman in high school. It was beautifully refreshing to see adult believers living out their faith on my campus. I attended our Campus Life club all through high school. Once I graduated, I started as an intern and I haven't left since. Other than being a wife and a mother, it's been the greatest joy of my life to watch my students realize the weight of God's love and Jesus's sacrifice.
Read MoreI got involved with YFC through my husband, Doug, and my church. I love when I have been walking life out with a student and they receive a revelation of just how much God loves them.
Read MoreAloha! My name is Kai and I’ve been a part of YFC since 2010. As a student in high school I was involved in events like Christmas camps, NOISE concerts and volleyball tournaments. A year after graduating, my uncle Dan, YFC’s executive director, offered me a job as a campus minister and since then it’s been an amazing journey working in the lives of the students and sharing the gospel with them. I had the privilege of going to a Christian high school where we learned about Jesus and the Bible every day. Being able to bring the hope of Jesus to students in the public high schools where the word of God is pushed out is a great honor and blessing. There is no greater satisfaction than seeing God’s love work in transformative ways in the high schoolers’ lives.
Read MoreAloha, my name is Emily Pascual and I am the Office Manager at YFC Hawaii. I was born and raised on Oahu and currently live in Honolulu with my husband and son. My family has been serving and supporting Youth for Christ for most of my life so when I had the opportunity to start working here in 2019, I was excited for the chance to give in my own way to this ministry. My administrative work helps to allow our Campus Ministers to reach out to students across the island. Mahalo for all your support and God bless!
